The Hidden Home
The Hidden Homestead in Smiths Grove, Kentucky is family owned and operated by Scott Skaggs and his wife Michelle. Scott is a retired Kentucky State Trooper, and he has been a professional photographer for over a decade. The Hidden Homestead is not just an average old barn converted into a wedding venue. Scott and Michelle have created a truly unique and beautiful venue with years of thought and hard work to provide couples and their families with all the features necessary for a memorable and stress-free wedding. There are four unique wedding venues on the property for indoor and outdoor weddings. The Hidden Homestead is located on 10 scenic acres with a small lake and spacious event barn. The property is also home to Scott’s photography studio as well as the Skaggs’s home.
My name is Scott Skaggs. My wife , Michelle, and I would love to show you around the grounds and venue and show you what we have to offer. We built this venue in 2015. We built it for weddings. I am a retired Kentucky State Trooper, but I’ve been a wedding photographer for about 18 years, since 2005, and I saw a need at the time for a venue that was beautiful, supplied nearly everything that was needed, and one that was affordable so everyone could have a choice of something that could fulfill their dream. I designed The Hidden Homestead myself and assisted in every aspect of the building process. I grew up on this farm I now own. We have about 25 acres here with beautiful photo opportunities.
